A most beautiful straw basket, that comes with a choice of subtle or striking zig zag pattern… all hand made from Banana Plant Straw!

These absolutely unique baskets are made from dried banana ‘trees’ (they are actually plants and not trees!) by villagers from Northern Thailand. They are durable, stylish and absolutely 100% eco-friendly… Banana plants are prolific throughout Thailand and are often discarded when they stop bearing fruit, so by a unique method of drying and weaving, they are given a new lease of life.
